Day 1 : Paro to Thimphu
  • Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by stunning views of the Himalayas.
  • At the exit point you will be received by our seasoned guide with our traditional scarf and drive to your designated hotel in Thimphu – the capital city of Bhutan, check in, and have refreshments or breakfast.
  • Start your day with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang– the gigantic statue of  Buddha Dordenma. This impressive bronze statue offers panoramic views of the city and is a symbol of peace and prosperity.
  • Next, visit the Royal Takin Reserve to witness Bhutan's diverse wildlife, including the national animal, the Takin. Marvel at these unique creatures in their natural habitat.
  • Have a delightful lunch at the local restaurant at your choice.
  • Explore Thimphu City; handicrafts, local products and archery field.
  • Return to your hotel for a delightful dinner and a well-deserved rest after a day of exploration.
Day 2 : Thimphu – Punakha - Paro

Distance: 190 kms (6:00 hrs)
Elevation: 2334 mts - 1242 mts – 2200 mts

  • Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel before embarking on your journey to Punakha, an ancient capital of Bhutan.
  • Stop at Dochula Pass (3100 mts), renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views and the 108 Druk Wangyel Stupas. Take in the serene beauty of the Himalayan landscape and the artistic splendor of the stupas.
  • Upon reaching Lobesa, visit Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the temple of fertility.
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch on the way from Chimi Lhakhang.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, often described as the country's most beautiful fortress. Explore the intricacies of Bhutanese architecture and learn about the historical and cultural significance of this majestic structure.
  • After exploring Punakha, drive back to Paro.

Day 3 : Explore Sacred Places in Paro

  • Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, preparing you for a day of exploration.
  • Visit Kyichu Temple, a serene 7th-century Buddhist temple considered one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan. Take in the peaceful atmosphere and admire the intricate architectural details.
  • Visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress that once defended Bhutan against Tibetan invasions. Learn about its rich history and significance.
  • Discover the historic Paro Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress-monastery that overlooks the Paro valley. Explore the intricate woodwork, beautiful murals, and learn about its role in Bhutanese history and culture.

Day 4 : Hike to Tiger’s Nest

Elevation: 3120 mts
Walking Hours: 5– 6hrs (back & forth, 8 km)

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel to fuel up for the day's adventure.
  • Head northwest out of Paro for a memorable hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang, also known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest Monastery’. This legendary monastery clings to a sheer cliff face, offering breathtaking views of the Paro Valley below.
  • The hike takes about 5 to 6 hours round trip, depending on your pace and rest stops along the way. Be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding trek through lush forests and steep terrain. Take your time to soak in the stunning scenery and marvel at the architectural wonder of the monastery as you approach it.
  • Have a delicious lunch at the Tiger’s nest cafeteria with the breathtaking tiger’s nest view at the background.
  • After completing the hike, return to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
  • Enjoy a delicious dinner at your hotel over a bonfire with mask dance and cultural performances.
  • Return to room, rest and relax, reflecting on the incredible experience of hiking to Tiger’s Nest.
