- Enjoy breakfast at your hotel to fuel up for the acclimatization hike and drive in preparation for the trek, the next day.
- Head northwest out of Paro for a memorable hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang, also known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest Monastery’. This legendary monastery clings to a sheer cliff face, offering breathtaking views of the Paro Valley below.
- The hike takes about 5 to 6 hours round trip, depending on your pace and rest stops along the way. Be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding trek through lush forests and steep terrain. Take your time to soak in the stunning scenery and marvel at the architectural wonder of the monastery as you approach it.
- Have a delicious lunch at the Tiger’s nest cafeteria with the breathtaking tiger’s nest view at the background.
- After completing the hike, drive to Chele La Pass. Chele La is one of the highest motorable mountain passes in Bhutan, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,988 meters above sea level. You can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan Mountain range, including the majestic Mount Jomolhari. The pass is about 36 kilometers from Paro.
